Pyro Inspirations Awards Winners Announced at The Mount Nelson
Cape Town, 4 November 2010: After a year of adjudication of superior on-pack activity and with 19 finalists contending for top honours, Pyrotec announced the winners of its annual Pyro Inspirations Awards at the Mount Nelson Hotel on the 4th of November. Designed to shine the spotlight on superior on-pack activity and to establish on-pack as a standalone media category, the awards were engineered by Pyrotec PackMedia, which offers novel on-pack promotion and communication vehicles. Guest speaker and media and marketing commentator, Chris Moerdyk hosted the proceedings and reiterated a trend in marketing that shows brand owners moving their marketing efforts away from mass media to where the consumer is exposed to the product–in store. “Marketers and brand owners, faced with high advertising rates and restricted media budgets, are moving towards practical cost effective solutions and in store and on pack communication are not only key solutions but also vital touch points for a brand,” he stressed.
